Shenzhen Airport's February cargo volume up 7.4pc

SHENZHEN Airport handled 38,300 tonnes of cargo and mail during February, rising by 7.4 per cent over the same period last year, Logistics Week reported.

In the same month, the airport received 1.99 million passengers, growing by 9.5 per cent. Aircraft movement was up slightly by 0.9 per cent to 15,500 flights.

During the first two months of this year, the airport's cargo throughput came to 74,700 tonnes, falling 18.5 per cent year on year. Passenger volume rose 13.7 per cent to 4.07 million. Aircraft movements were up 3.9 per cent up to 32,700 flights.
