Lufthansa Cargo and Austrian Cargo Charter signed sales agreement

Mar 27, 2009 Logistics

Lufthansa Cargo and Austrian Cargo Charter have signed an agreement for the global sales of cargo charters in March 2009.
True to the philosophy ‘together we are strong’, strategic partnerships are also becoming a valuable tool in the crisis. With its own teams in Kelsterbach, Hong Kong, Chicago and Dubai, Lufthansa Cargo Charter has been relying on the global sales team of Lufthansa Cargo for a number of years, as well that of Swiss WorldCargo for
almost exactly three years. The arrival of Austrian Cargo means another competent sales partner has been added to that list.
The two companies are a strong match in terms of culture, experience and their mutual aspiration to provide quality and high customer service. Lufthansa Cargo Charter is expanding its sales range, and can rely on the expertise of the global sales team of Austrian Cargo. Austrian Cargo is expanding its product portfolio with tailormade transport solutions in line with the requirements of their customers. This ranges
from the full charter flight, when cargo space capacity in the hold of a passenger aircraft is insufficient or the route is not operating, through to the combination of an Austrian scheduled flight and a charter flight. There are now hardly any restrictions on the product.
“With this important step, we can offer our customers even more flexible solutions and a fundamentally broader transport portfolio. The flexible products of our partner on the one hand and our undisputed expertise on the other, result in an ideal mix, which generates huge customer benefit”, says Franz Zöchbauer, Executive Vice
President Austrian Cargo.
“We are looking forward to fruitful cooperation with our new partner, and see many opportunities, above all in the East European markets, where Austrian Cargo is very strong”, adds Christian Fink, Managing Director Lufthansa Cargo Charter Agency.
