Two seafarers are believed to still be missing after their vessel sank following a collision with a Cypriot cruise vessel off Israel.
Between 11 and 14 other crew members onboard the 1,600-gt Shelly (built 1973) were rescued after it was hit by the 10,400-gt Cyprus-flagged Salamis Glory (built 1962) off Haifa on Thursday night.
Reports in the local media suggest that the 407-berth cruise ship may have lost steering control and collided into the Israeli-owned general cargo ship which was berthed about three kilometres off the coast of Haifa at around 22:00 on Thursday.
