Mar 24, 2009 Logistics

The combined transport operator Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA, Basel, has a new management team with effect from 17th March.
Bart Van der Cruysse replaces Franz Böni as Managing Director. At its meeting in March, the Board of Directors of the European unaccompanied combined transport operator Intercontainer approved a new structure for the company, which came into effect on 17th March 2009.
Bart Van der Cruysse replaces the former Managing Director Franz Böni with immediate effect. Other members of the new „Leadership Team“ are Jochen Weber, Commercial Director, and Konstantinos Papadopoulos, Operational Director. The current head of Financial Services, Isabelle Probst, also takes over Intercontainer’s
administrative services under the new structure.
Enrique Rivas, head of the Business Unit Western Europe, now disbanded, will report directly to the new Commercial Director. Ulrich Koch continues to be responsible for CIS Business.
Van der Cruysse and his Leadership Team intend to enhance the quality of Intercontainer products and continue improving customer service. With the optimisation of performance and quality of service, Intercontainer is aiming to enhance the appeal of its international range of products for customers involved in line-haul or
European network traffic. At the same time, a stricter control must be maintained over marketing costs so that the company can hold its own under today’s extremely competitive conditions.
More information and the first results of the new measures will be presented by Intercontainer in the middle of this year.
