The European Investment Bank (EIB) will this year grant a significantly greater amount of loans to Croatia which amounted to EUR 170m last year.
Among the bigger projects is financing of the construction of Zagreb Airport and investing into the railway sector, but they are not in a phase to be realised quickly.
Croatia is intending to construct a low railway from Rijeka, via Zagreb to the Hungarian border, which would increase the competitiveness of the Rijeka Harbour, which is already connected to Hungary and Central Europe via highway, Railway Market informed.
