AIR China will resume flights on its Beijing-Madrid-Sao Paulo route on March 29, reports Logistics Week.
Its CA907 flight will depart from Beijing International Airport at 0100 hrs every Thursday and Sunday and arrive at Madrid Airport at 0740 hrs local time, then will leave Madrid Airport at 0920 hrs and land at Sao Paulo Airport at 0320 hrs. The return flight CA908 will depart from Sao Paulo at 2030 hrs on Thursdays and Sundays local time, and arrive at Madrid at 1145 hrs on Fridays and Mondays. The flight will then depart from Madrid at 1330 hrs and arrive at Beijing at 0705 hrs the following day.
After resumption of the route, passengers on Air China flights will be able to transfer from 29 global cities onto the CA907 flight from Beijing to Madrid or Sao Paulo. Passengers from Madrid or Sao Paulo will also be able to select from 27 Air China destinations in the Asia Pacific region connected with Beijing, including domestic capital cities and second-tier cities such as Baotou, Tongliao, Ordos, Xuzhou, Wuxi and Jingdezhen, and international cities and regions that include, Ulan Bator, Melbourne, Sydney, Rangoon, Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Inchon, Pusan and Daegu.
Over the past year, Air China has been actively expanding its network through its membership in the Star Alliance. By August 2008, the airline was operating 243 routes covering 28 countries and regions, of which 69 were international routes, six were regional routes and 168 were Chinese domestic routes, providing more than 6,000 weekly flights in total.
