Virgin appoints new regional sales manager for Australia and NZ

VIRGIN Atlantic Cargo announced as Colin Nicholls its new regional sales manager of Australia and New Zealand who will report to James Williams, Virgin Atlantic Cargo's vice president Asia-Pacific, Hong Kong-based.

Mr Nicholls career within the air cargo industry began at London Heathrow at Union Air Transport as an operations clerk where he moved to encompass general manager sales and marketing at Airline Management Holdings at Gatwick Airport, UK reports Perth-based Aircargo, Asia Pacific.

His position at Airline Management Holdings gained him experience in overseas route development and the selection and overall control of overseas sales offices.

Virgin Atlantic Cargo launched its daily service in Sydney to London via Hong Kong in 2004. This year has seen V Australia, the long haul arm of Virgin Blue operate thrice weekly service from Sydney to Los Angeles with a view to increase and also to begin Brisbane to LA.
