In February 1,261,507 passengers travelled through Oslo Airport. This was 92,403 or 13% fewer than during the same period last year. The decline on domestic routes was 77,135 passengers or 11%, and on international routes the decline was 15,268 passengers or 15%. Passenger figures are now at the same level as in 2007.
The number of aircraft movements in February was 16,120. This is 1,587 or 9% fewer than in February last year.
In 2008 February had an extra day. If we adjust for this, the decline in passenger figures is approx.10%, says Marketing Manager for Traffic Development Knut Stabek. This is an improvement on January, where the decline was 12.8%, and this may indicate that demand is starting to pick up.
