Germanwings to increase the number of Sofia – Köln/Bonn flights

Starting on March 29 2009, no-frills air carrier Germanwings will increase the number of its Sofia – Köln/Bonn flights to four a week, up from three. The company announced this on March 6, The Sofia Echo reported.
The flights will depart from Sofia Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday; reservations can be made via the Germanwings website. At the moment, in addition to Cologne-Bonn, Germanwings flies from Sofia to Berlin-Schönefeld, Dresden, Leipzig, London-Stansted, Mallorca, Milan Malpensa, Munich, Stockholm, Vienna and Zürich.
Via the airline's "smart connect" service, travellers will be able to connect to additional destinations in Europe with as short a stopover as possible in Cologne-Bonn.
Germanwings, which is part of the Lufthansa family, has a fleet of 25 Airbus A 319 aircraft.
