SINOTRANS Air Transportation Development Co Ltd, a Sinotrans subsidiary, has announced plans to invest CNY126 million (US$18.4 million) on a new logistics centre at Chengdu airport, Xinhua reported.
The new facility will offer public-bonded warehousing, international distribution, processing, customs broking, finished goods and vendor-managed inventory service, as well as other value-added services.
Construction will soon start with completion expected mid-2010. Sinoair said the facility will help it build a road network based on the western China air hub that can build its customer base, ensure its lead in the industry and diversify forwarding services and enhance competitiveness.
