SpiceJet to use IBS software

Feb 10, 2009 Logistics

Indian low-cost airline SpiceJet will be using the transportation software developer IBS to automate its domestic air cargo business, the company said Friday.

SpiceJet has automated its cargo business processes to support its aggressive expansion plans for its domestic cargo operations, IBS said in a statement. This will ensure an integrated management of cargo reservations and ground operations including flight planning, inbound cargo operations, billing and shipment tracking.   SpiceJet offers cargo services from 12 Indian cities.

Other airlines using IBS are Air Astana, Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Austrian Airlines, Avient Cargo, CargoJet, Kingfisher Airlines and Nippon Cargo Airlines, as well as the Tokyo International Air Cargo Terminal.
