German logistics company Dascher has set up joint ventures in Chile and Thailand, the company said Friday.
In Chile, the company has established a 50-50 joint venture with Gesto-Log, a merger with local freight carrier Logística Industrial S.A. and Rolf Gremler. The company, Dachser Chile S.A, is aiming to establish air and sea logistics operations in the South American market while also strengthening export and import business to and from the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America, the company said.
Meanwhile, in Thailand, Dascher’s India subsidiary AFL Dascher Pvt Ltd. has set up a joint venture in Bangkok called AFL Dascher Thailand Ltd. AFL Dascher has a 90 percent stake in the Thailand business, with the rest held by the company’s local management.
