CEVA Logistics on Friday announced a series of recent contracts for its services.
In the United Kingdom, CEVA renewed its deal to handle warehousing and vehicle parts distribution for Volkswagen. The contract calls for CEVA to deliver to 850 dealerships throughout the country. It handles similar functions for Volkswagen in Germany and China.
Meanwhile, CEVA secured a similar deal with Fiat in Duisburg, Germany, managing parts distribution for the Italian carmaker in that country through a new 13,000-square-meter logistics center. CEVA handles the same functions in Italy for Fiat.
In Brazil, CEVA signed a deal with LG to handle verification, warehousing, separation, issuing, returning, inventory control and re-working for electric and electronic products for the Korean electronics manufacturer. CEVA will take products coming from a plant in Manaus in the state of Amazonas and store them in a logistics facility in Louveira, in the countryside of São Paulo. The facility is 35,000 square meters.
The DC in Louveira is strategic for LG’s logistics operations, said Marcello Toledo, a logistics manager at LG, in a statement. The products will be invoiced directly from the distribution center, and no longer in Manaus. This means we will gain agility in servicing our end customer. Lastly, CEVA is moving offices in Indonesia. Its head offices will now be housed at: Summitmas I Building, 8th and 18th Floor, Jl. Jend. Sudirman Kav.61-62, Jakarta 12190, Indonesia. That office will handle customer service, sales and business development.
CEVA is retaining another office in Jakarta as the company's ocean and telecommunications hub. The address for that office is: Jl Pelepah Raya, Komp Gudang Bulog, Perintis Kemerdekaan, Kelapa Gading Barat, Jakarta Utara 14240, Indonesia.
