Encompass adds CFO

Encompass Global Logistics, which started business last October, said it named Kevin Kroft as chief financial officer and will soon establish a new headquarters office in Orange County, Calif.

   Prior to joining Encompass, Kroft was CFO and co-founder of U.S. Lines. He also served as CFO with Australia-New Zealand Direct Line for 10 years.

   Most of the executive team at Encompass has ties to U.S. Lines.

   Encompass plans to move its office in Los Angeles to nearby Orange County. It also has offices in Dallas, New York and Hong Kong.

   The freight forwarder is a wholly owned entity of Gong Brothers Holdings Ltd. in Hong Kong.
