Wuxi Airport 2008 cargo volume doubles

EASTERN China city Wuxi's airport handled 39,600 tonnes of cargo and mail during 2008, a surge of 100.8 per cent over the preceding year, according to a report from Logistics Week.

Last year, the airport received 1.64 million passengers, up 20.8 per cent. Aircraft movement rose 18.8 per cent to 16,323 flights. Average overall load factor was 71.4 per cent, passenger load factor was 72.4 per cent.
