Perkins names key appointments

Perkins Logistics has appointed Gregory Maiers to president.

   Maiers was the Noblesville, Ind.-based freight transportation firm’s chief operating officer. He joined Perkins in 2003 after working 18-year career at North American Van Lines.

   Perkins also promoted Daniel McKinnon to vice president of information technology. He was director of IT, and joined Perkins in May 2008 coming from a similar role at Summitt Trucking in Clarksville, Ind.
