Nokian Tyres launches a new winter tyre

Nokian Tyres will launch a new studded Hakkapeliitta winter tyre. The Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 has been developed for demanding and quickly changing winter conditions. The new Nordic studded tyre, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7, combines its winter properties with driving comfort.

Its predecessor, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5, launched in 2006, has achieved several test victories in car industry publications in the Nordic countries and Russia. Demands for the development of the new studded tyre were high.

The new tyre has many properties appreciated by consumers. Driving comfort was chosen as an essential target for improvement. It was enhanced without compromising the grip which increases safety.

During the coming weeks, Nokian Tyres will introduce this novelty to its most important interest groups in Ivalo, Finland. The product will be directed at the company’s main markets in the Nordic countries, Russia, and the Ukraine. Deliveries of the tyres will begin in spring 2009, and they will be available to consumers next autumn. The new studded tyre has the most extensive size range on the market.
