What Threatens Chinese Export?

Aug 29, 2007 Logistics

Yesterday the chief of the State technical and quarantine control of the quality of goods of Chinese Peoples' Republic Lee Chanjuan told that 85% of the toys recalled by Mattel were produced in accordance with the requirements of American importers. He noted that in the past year China supplied to the world market about 22 bln. toys and most of them corresponded to all the safety standards of the exporting countries.

The position of the United Stated was supported by EU countries and the major countries began to check other Chinese goods for correspondence to the standards of quality also.

The Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service also order to strengthen the state sanitary and epidemiological control of imported toys.

Some international experts suppose that in future all Chinese made goods may have difficulties finding their way to the global market. And consequently the patterns of goods traffic and trade balance may change on the East-West direction.

Russian experts are sure that nothing threatens Chinese exports on the global scale because of the strong interrelation of the economies of China and the countries, which import its production. But also China has enough possibilities to impose counter measures.
