Dependable Global Express will open a logistics and freight forwarding facility in Manila, the Southern California-based company said Monday.
DGX is expanding its Asian network to take advantage of increasing trade through the Philippines. The facility will offer traditional ocean and air freight forwarding, as well as third-party logistics services, such as inventory control, warehousing and quality inspections.
The stronger economy is generating an upsurge in international trade, said Carminda Cruz, DGX’ import/export logistics manager. This growth is occurring both in the newer industries like electronic components and computers as well as in more traditional businesses as apparel, handicrafts and agricultural products. The need for a company owned on-site facility with a staff of full time professionals never has been greater for Philippine trade.
