MIDAMERICA St Louis Airport stands to become a well-known international air link as China flies in planeloads of electronics and computer goods from Chicago O'Hare, which are then shipped on to Miami for South American distribution, reports the weekly St Louis Chinese American News.
On October 30, flowers from South America were first flown to MidAmerica, stored in the airport warehouse, and distributed to floral wholesalers, completing the first international delivery service to the airport which has now become weekly, said the newspaper. International Harvester and Caterpillar equipment parts will also be flown to Miami to be dispersed to Central and South America.
