DHL opens huge logistics center in Dubai

Nov 10, 2008 Logistics

DHL subsidiary Danzas AEI Emirates has officially opened an 80,000-square-foot logistics facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai.

It's the company's largest such facility in the Middle East.

I see a definite trend for the larger multinationals to both outsource and expect the same standards, processes, behaviors and performance throughout their global networks, said Enver Moretti, chief executive officer and president of the EMA Region for DHL Global Forwarding.

The center is fully air-conditioned and includes 6,700 square meters of office space and an 8,000-square-meter temperature-controlled, life sciences distribution center.
