Nov 10, 2008 Logistics

Expeditors International of Washington Inc., a global logistics company headquartered in Seattle, had profit of $85.6 million for the third quarter, a 15 percent increase over the $74.3 million earned in the same 2007 period.

Revenue was $1.56 billion for the period compared with $1.41 billion in the same quarter of 2007.

These results also show that we are capable of executing effectively in the face of some rather challenging circumstances, said Peter J. Rose, chairman and chief executive officer.
