China has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization over U.S. antidumping and countervailing duties on Chinese-made steel pipes, tires and laminated woven sacks, the China Daily reported Wednesday.
China believes that the request for consultation is the legitimate right of China as a WTO member and a normal practice of WTO members to resolve their disputes, a statement from the country's trade ministry said.
The two sides have 60 days to settle the dispute through consultations before a WTO panel would be brought in to investigate and rule on the case.
