The U.S. Trade and Development Agency will host a training workshop in November in Hanoi, Vietnam, to bring together U.S. public and private sector officials and customs officials from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
The goal of the workshop, said USTDA, is to share U.S. private and public sector expertise and technology solutions to encourage customs modernization in these key countries. The workshop is an element of USTDA Global Customs Initiative, which aims to improve customs infrastructure in targeted countries by leveraging both U.S. private and public sector solutions. Representatives of U.S. companies that provide equipment or services in the transportation, cargo, security, scanning, and customs/trade industries are encouraged to attend.
