Russian Railways to Sell Its Handling Complex in Temryuk

Russian Railways, JSC has announced an open tender on selling its handling complex in the port of Temryuk. The tender will be closed on December, 28.

The initial price of the complex totals 1.1 bn rubles.

According to the official report of Russian Railways, the company is going to sell some objects of immovables with areas of 57 000 sq m and 90 000 sq m, some movables and vehicles.

The main criterions are a minimum term to put the complex into operation (it annual capacity will have to total 1.3 mn tons), a job placement of workers and the best price.

Currently the works at the complex are not realized, SeaNews was told in the port. The handling complex has 3 berths, one of which is working and 2 are built on 90%, and 4 port cranes.

According to SeaNews’ data, in 2006 the complex handled 4.8 thousand tons of cargo, but the major volume was handled in 2003 – 65 thousand tons.
