New Container Train

24 August 2007 a new container train will depart from Saint-Petersburg to Pitkaranta (Karelia) and back.

The train includes 33 platforms with 66 containers loaded with cellulose produced by Pitkaranta JSC. The cargo is to be exported to China.

The scheme of the route is as follows: empty containers leave for Pitkaranta from the Warsaw terminal in Saint-Petersburg, where they are loaded and leave back to Saint-Petersburg to the Avtovo station.

The first train departed on 5 August. The train will operate on a 2 times a month schedule. The forwarding service is provided by Modul Ltd.
