Mainfreight International, a New Zealand-based freight logistics provider, has added in-house customs brokerage services to its 38 offices in the United States.
Mainfreight applied for the license with U.S. Customs and Border Protection shortly after acquiring California-based Target Logistics in November 2007. Target was renamed Mainfreight in July.
Mainfreight is keeping pace with customer demand for complete logistic services, said Mark P. Neumann, the company's director of customs brokerage, in a statement.
Neumann said the U.S. operation benefits from Mainfreight's information system. We offer high visibility to customers at every stage of the transportation and brokerage process, he said.
