TradeBeam releases upgrade to GTM application suite

San Mateo, Calif.-based trade management software firm TradeBeam Inc. on Tuesday released a major functionality upgrade to it self-branded global trade management suite of on-demand applications.

TradeBeam 3.2.4 release offers new and enhanced capabilities in several areas, including bar code label management.

The firm's GTM suite of applications are offered via the Internet as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) and according to TradeBeam requires no upfront hardware or software investments from users.

The latest release's bar code label management upgrade enhances several applications within TradeBeam's GTM suite including the Import Management, Order Management and Supply Chain Event Management applications. The upgrades, according to TradeBeam, enable suppliers and agents to create UCC-128 bar code labels and unique Serial Shipping Container Codes from existing information. This information is integrated with users?ERP systems and can be scanned at point of receipt, which TradeBeam said reduces errors, increases productivity and streamlines import processes.

The new release also features new or enhanced functionalities for additional GTM processes including landed cost calculations, compliance, visibility and internationalization. The 3.2.4 release also features upgrades to the firm's core GTM platform.
