Globe Express opens first Europe office in Dunkirk

Jul 30, 2008 Logistics

Third party logistics company Globe Express Services has opened its first office in Europe in the northern French port city of Dunkirk.

The office, opened July 15, is expected to serve as a beachhead for the company's future expansion within the European Union, a region the company previously served via agent relationships.

Europe is a market of over 450 million people with extensive international logistics needs, Edouard Rassie, Globe's executive vice president for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, said in a statement. We feel that European companies will benefit from Globe's experience and expertise, particularly in Far East trade. Dunkirk is Globe's 38th corporate office worldwide, including 10 in China, seven in South East Asia, eight in India, and nine in the Americas. Since the start of 2007, the company has added 14 offices, and it expects to launch at least one more corporate office during the summer of 2008.
