Lufthansa Cargo's volume marginally down in first half

Lufthansa Cargo flew about 869,000 tons of freight and mail in the first six months of 2008, a 0.9 percent drop compared to the first half of last year.

The German airline's cargo load factor for the first half of this year fell by 0.3 percentage points year on year to 68.2 percent.

The Lufthansa Group's first half results will be published July 30.
