GreenCarrier buys Finnish forwarder FCS Logistics

GreenCarrier International, the logistics branch of Sweden's privately held Bjk.Eklund Group, has acquired independent Finnish forwarding company Oy FCS Logistics Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 1995, FCS Logistics is an International Air Transport Association-approved forwarder offering international air and sea container transport services as well as having a global agency network.

It is anticipated that the FCS Logistics operation will eventually be fully integrated into GreenCarrier International.

FCS Logistics will be our foothold in the Finnish market for expansion. The owners of FCS Logistics have the same business philosophy as we have. Like other GreenCarrier offices the company is also strong in certain niches. FCS Logistics will play an important role in the GreenCarrier group of companies along the Baltic seafront and the Russian border, said Staffan Kjellberg, GreenCarrier's managing director.
