Norwegians buy Murmansk engineering company

Jun 11, 2008 Logistics

The Norwegian shipyard Kimek AS has bought the Murmansk-based engineering company Sevgibrurybflot.

The acquisition will strengthen our position in the Russian market, Kimek director Greger Mannsverk says.

Sevgibrurybflot is a small engineering company previously owned by the Russian fishery major Sevrybflot.

Kimek has many years of experiences from Northwest Russia. Together with the Severodinsk-based Zvezdochka shipyard, the company in the early 1990s established the Zvezdochka Engineering company.

Kimek is 100 percent owned by the Bergen Group.
