The Freight Transport Association, which represents road, rail, sea and air operators in the United Kingdom, is creating a policy forum to address operational challenges and public policy issues.
The FTA said the International Supply Chain Forum (ISCF) will guide its lobbying and campaigning activities as well as providing a forum for U.K. supply chain stakeholder to exchange knowledge and best practice.
The first meeting of the ISCF will be held on June 11 and will include a workshop on improving flow through container ports, a presentation on European rail freight services from EWS, a discussion of industry response to government plans on aviation tax, and an international freight security briefing from Transec.
