CSX to unveil low-emission locomotives

CSX Transportation said it will introduce the company's GenSet locomotives that use technology that reduces nitrous oxide and particulate matter emissions by 80 percent and can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 50 percent next week at a press event at its Rougemere Yard in Dearborn, Mich. 

CSX Transportation's new low-emission locomotive will be unveiled next week in Dearborn, Technology for the locomotives was purchased through a partnership between CSX, the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments.
