Kuehne + Nagel opens Airbus base for its entire logistics chain

KUENE + Nagel has opened an aviation logistics hub in Montori-de-Bretagne, France to handle aircraft manufacturer Airbus' entire production logistics chains and feed its main manufacturing units of Nantes and Saint-Nazaire.


It has been the leading logistics provider (LLP) for Airbus since 2008 operating over six regional hubs totalling 150,000 square metres in France, Germany, Spain and the Britain.


Its new facility measures 18,800 square metres and will consolidate the Airbus network and warehouse parts, order preparation and delivery of parts, management of inbound flows from suppliers and quality inspections.


French Kuehne + Nagel chief Patrick Pepin said in a report from UK's Transport Intelligence that its close working relationship has led to a comprehensive understanding of its business needs. "This new hub marks a further step in our partnership, and we are proud to serve as Airbus' Lead Logistics Provider."
