HONG KONG-listed SITC has extended to Thailand its Japan-China-Vietnam CJV 1 service, now called the Vietnam-Thailand Express VTX.
A Vietnam-Thailand string covering Bangkok and Laem Chabang is added while the rotation has been lengthened from three to four weeks with a fourth ship added, reports Paris-based Alphaliner. The VTX now covers several markets related to Thailand, including the Vietnam with Ho Chi Minh City served in both directions.
The VTX serves Osaka, Kobe, Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Osaka. It uses four ships of in the 1,000 - 1,400-TEU range. The extra ship will be the 1,032-TEU SITC Inchon.
