TAIWAN's second largest carrier Yang Ming has posted net profit of T$11.8 billion (US$374 million) in 2010 against a loss of T$15.2 billion, drawn on T$130.6 billion in revenue, an increase of 154 per cent year on year.
Operating profit came to T$15.2 billion compared to a loss of T$17.3 billion in 2009, reported Alphaliner. The boom in intra Asia trade contributed a great deal to Yang Ming, on which the carrier's main services are focused. It also re-launched the Asia-Australia string in 2010 after a break of 10 years.
