ProLogis to build the largest distribution centre in Chongqing

ASIA'S largest industry and logistics facility provider ProLogis has signed a deal with Banan district of southwestern China city Chongqing on building the city's largest distribution centre there, Xinhua reports.


The facility will cover 35 hectares and cost CNY680 million (US$103.6 million). Its development will be divided into two phases. The project can generate a tax revenue of CNY35 million for the government and will be offering distribution services to manufacturers, retailers, supermarkets and chain-stores after completion.
