Liaoning province earmarks US$6.3 billion for transport infrastructure

NORTHEAST China's Liaoning province plans to invest US$6.3 billion in transport infrastructure construction through this year, reports Xinhua.


The provincial government will invest $2.1 billion in expressway building and maintenance programme, and $913 million in highway construction, $3.2 billion in port construction and $92.3 million in building transport terminals.


New expressways will run to 3,529 kilometres, and secondary roads will extend to 5,000 kilometres.
