Anhui's express delivery volume growth ranks 6th in China

EXPRESS delivery volume of east China's Anhui province, due west of Shanghai, reached 36 million parcels in 2010 with a growth of 52.6 per cent over 2009, ranking the sixth place nationwide, reports Xinhua.


The volume also stood in the 15th place in China. There are 214 formally operated express delivery companies in Anhui. FedEx, DHL and TNT all have operated business in the province as well as UPS set its feet in this year. The sector structure has formed a four-way scrimmage composed of state-own, private-run, foreign-funded and joint-venture enterprises.


The volume increased 115 per cent compared with 16.2 million packs in 2006 when over 100 express delivery companies operated in Anhui.
