NYK rises Trans-Atlantic rates

NYK Line plans to increase its trans-Atlantic freight rates on cargo moving in both directions as of April 1.


NYK said Thursday the rate increase will apply to all cargo under its own independent tariffs and service contracts shipped between U.S. and Canadian ports and all locations in Northern Europe.


The increases, which apply to all dry containers and reefers, will be $200 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container.
