Kuehne + Nagel to provide logistics to offshore Norwegian oil fields

KUEHNE + NAGEL has been selected as the logistics provider for two new offshore oil fields in Norway, after the company was awarded a four-year contract from Eni Norge, a member of the Italian integrated energy company Eni, to provide integrated transport, forwarding and customs clearance services.


A company statement said the new agreement encompasses the provision of logistics support to Eni Norge for the development, drilling and operational phases of offshore oil fields Goliat and Marulk that are located in the Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea to the north of Norway.


"As an established logistics provider to this industry, Kuehne + Nagel's oil and gas division is ideally placed to manage the requirements for Eni Norge's exciting new developments in Norway," said KN's Norway oil and gas manager Leif Arne Strommen. "This unique opportunity also supports Kuehne + Nagel's strategy to expand its offering to this market in northern Norway."
