- Dragados Servicios Portuarios y Logísticos S.L. (DSPL), the leading Spanish operator of maritime terminals and shipping, has changed its legal name to NOATUM Ports S.L.U.
The company has interests in Bilbao (Abra Terminales Maritimas “ATM”), Valencia (Maritima Valenciana “MARVALSA”), Málaga (Terminales del Sureste “TdS”) and Las Palmas (Operaciones Portuarias Canarias S.A, “OPCSA”).
It also operates the largest vehicle terminal in the Mediterranean in Barcelona (“Autoterminal”), in addition to bulk cargo and general cargo terminals in Santander, Sagunto and Valencia (“Terminales Marítimas Servicesa”) and the rail terminal at Coslada (“Madrid”). Its subsidiary, Maritima del Mediterraneo (“MARMEDSA”), is Spain’s leading shipping agency.
NOATUM Ports S.L.U. is held by NOATUM Port Holdings S.L. (previously known as Turia Port Investments S.L.U.), while MARMEDSA is held by NOATUM Maritime Holdings S.L.U. (previously known as Turia Port Management Investments S.L.U.)
DSPL was acquired by a group comprising institutional investors and the Dutch pension fund Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP, from construction conglomerate ACS late in 2010.
