Zim has launched a Mexico-Tampa Express (MTX) service, serving the trade between Mexico, Florida and the Caribbean, company reports.
Through Zim's regional hub in Kingston, Jamaica, MTX connects to Zim's global network of services, covering both Atlantic and Pacific major trade routes and offering comprehensive and versatile shipping solutions to customers.
The new service, launched at the end of January 2011, operates two 550-700 TEU vessels, on a weekly, fixed-day schedule with the following rotation: Kingston, Vera Cruz, Altamira, Tampa, Kingston.
The new MTX service offers an upgraded service with significantly improved transit time for customers in Tampa and Mexico. MTX links the Mexican trade to the DC corridors in the US, while offering customers a fast, convenient connection to Zim's global network via Kingston.
Zim also continues to call Tampa with the South America Express (SAX) service, offering excellent transit time for the import cargo to Tampa and extensive coverage of major South American ports.
