China Postal Airlines launches Fuzhou-Taipei route

CHINA Postal Airlines, the China Post carrier, has become the first mainland company to launch an air cargo route between south eastern city Fuzhou to Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport, Xinhua reports.

The airline held a maiden flight ceremony for the twice-weekly service at the Fuzhou Changle International Airport, using Boeing 737 aircraft under flight number of 8Y209, taking off at 0850 hrs at Fuzhou, reaching Taipei at 1000 hrs.

China Postal Airlines general manager Li Yufeng said the new service is to cement cooperation between postal services of mainland and Taiwan besides speeding up cargo flow between the two places.
