DHL has launched anew door-to-more service for customers in Philippines seeking an elegant one-stop solution for complex international distribution, reported Manila Bulletin.
Launched by its Global Forwarding division, the new service helps customers consolidate their international shipments, and clear them as a single shipment through Customs.
Upon arrival in the destination country by sea or air, the shipment is broken down and delivered to multiple end-customers. The solution offers businesses lower import costs, reduced storage time and the elimination of costly warehousing. Businesses also benefit from faster time-to-market and better cash flow.
Richard Strollo, country manager of DHL Global Forwarding Philippines said: "DHL door-to-more was developed as a result of a clear understanding of the needs of our customers and an understanding of their businesses."
DHL Global Forwarding's door-to-more service complements DHL break bulk express, which is a similar consolidated service for customers who have urgent and highly time sensitive shipments.
DHL breakbulk express consolidates urgent air express shipments, and delivers overnight to major cities in Asia or in two to three days to secondary cities in Asia as well as the US and Europe.
The popularity of break bulk express service has led to the expansion of the service for customers who want greater flexibility of shipping and transit time options now available through door-to-more.
