A BEECHCRAFT E18S bush plane owned by Air Supply Alaska has crashed in the course of a failed landing at New Stuyahok, Alaska, while carrying cargo from Kenai some 200 miles away, reports Peninsula Clarion.
The unidentified pilot, the plane's sole passenger, walked away from the crash uninjured. The air cargo company declined comment on the matter while federal officials investigate.
The investigator from the National Transportation and Safety Board said that judging from his preliminary interviews and inspections, it appeared there was no mechanical problem but there was a loss of control before the encounter with terrain, reported the Alaska Dispatch.
