Aircastle delivers two 747-400 to Airbridge and Asiana

GREENWICH, NY-based Aircastle Limited, a company that acquires, leases and sells aircraft, has delivered Boeing 747-400s through an affiliate to Russia's AirBridge Cargo Airlines and South Korea's Asiana Airlines.

"We're pleased to have completed the purchase of these two modern freighter aircraft and to have delivered them to two of the world's leading air cargo carriers," said Aircastle CEO Ron Wainshal.

"These purchases and lease placements illustrate our value-added investment approach and the company's ability to capitalise on the market's strong demand for modern, fuel-efficient cargo capacity," he added in a company statement.

Aircastle's aircraft portfolio consisted of 132 aircraft and has 63 lessees located in 36 countries.
