Supply-Chain World Asia Pacific Conference 2008

“Enabling Game Changing Strategies for Supply Chain Management” is the theme for this year’s conference.

This is the 7th year that this world event is held in the Asia Pacific region and an attendance of 250 delegates is expected.  The Guest of Honour is Mr Abdullah Tarmugi, Speaker of Parliament, Singapore.

There will be an update on the new version 9.0 of the Supply-Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) Model.  This major update includes expanded risk management capabilities, as well as new features to guide companies’ environmental sustainability efforts, the latter of which incorporate and expand the capabilities of GreenSCOR.

In conjunction with the conference, there will be two certification exams:

(a) SCOR Scholar exam for students studying supply chain management.

(b) SCOR Professional (SCOR/P) exam for professionals who have completed both the SCOR Framework and SCOR Implementation training courses.

The SCOR Framework and SCOR Implementation Workshops will be held on 21-22 July and 25-26 July respectively.  Both workshops will be conducted by Mr Joe Francis, Chief Technology Officer, Supply-Chain Council Inc.
