China Southern to launch flights to New Zealand in April

AUCKLAND Airport has announced Guangzhou-based China Southern Airline will launch Guangzhou-Auckland service three times a week, via Melbourne, starting April 30, 2011, reported Xinhua.


This new service is estimated to bring additional NZD50 million (US$37.5 million) a year to the country's tourism, said Auckland airport's chief executive Simon Moutter.


Air New Zealand currently flies to Beijing and Shanghai five times a week.
